Kalliopi Takaki is an Athens-based performance, voice and participatory sound artist, trained in theatre at the Karolos Koun Art Theatre with a background in sound engineering and shaped by a xennial generation that moved between analogue and digital cultures.

She works at the intersection of audio culture, performance and digital communication with a sustained focus on the formation of communities and the construction of narrative systems across online and offline environments. Her practice forms a hybrid field where the art of storytelling, media practice and artistic research continuously meet and reshape one another.

radiobubble — co-founded in 2007 — marks a key node in this trajectory. It operated as the first web radio in Greece and one of the earliest community-driven radio platforms internationally, a living participatory broadcast system where content production was distributed directly to citizens and creators. It emerged as an early form of networked community built around sound, voice and narration, and remains a reference point for the shift from traditional broadcast media to user-generated communication infrastructures.

Throughout her artistic and educational practice, Kalliopi Takaki has collaborated with cultural institutions and organisations including the Athens Epidaurus Festival, the Karolos Koun Art Theatre, the Experimental Stage of the National Theatre of Greece, EMST | National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens, the Industrial Gas Museum, the Museum of Modern Greek Culture and the Onassis Foundation.

Since 2017, she has been developing educational and workshop-based practices in radio and sound, focusing on voice, storytelling and listening as collective and embodied processes. These workshops are designed for children, teenagers and adults, creating inclusive spaces for different ages to engage with sound and narrative. Through these practices, participants construct their own sonic narratives, exploring forms of expression that emerge through shared attention, presence and resonance.

Alongside her artistic practice in performance and sound, she works in communication strategy and project coordination, supporting cultural and artistic initiatives that require complex public articulation and multi-layered digital presence.
